First Aid, CPR, AED Certification
Both OSHA's General Industry standards 29 CFR 1910.151(b) and OSHA's Construction standards 29 CFR 1926.50(c) require employers to ensure that on site medical first aid is available to employees if a hospital, infirmary, or clinic is "not reasonably accessible in terms of time and distance" or "in near proximity". While these terms are vague and open to interpretation, it is very clear that employers have a responsibility to provide safe workplaces for their employees and that a core tenet of safety is the ability to provide timely medical treatment.

The truth is that whether in an occupational setting or while walking around your own neighborhood, first aid skills are a vital tool. As a National Safety Council First Aid instructor I offer nationally recognized and compliant certification classes good for 2 years. I have instructed hundreds of people, from construction workers to 8th graders, in how to save lives.
